Who You Are
You are a dedicated Social Worker with at least 2 years of experience working with adults under the age of 67. You possess a strong commitment to supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or enduring mental health diagnoses. Ideally, you have an AMHP qualification and are ready to work in a high-demand, temporary position while a recruitment process is underway.
What the Job Involves
Your role involves conducting Care Act Assessments, carrying out safeguarding investigations, completing COP DOL work, performing Capacity and Best Interest Assessments, and handling reviews and duty tasks. You may be required to perform some out-of-hours work, specifically in relation to Mental Health Act Assessments, as the service operates until 8 pm on weekdays. You will benefit from monthly supervision, regular team meetings, and a supportive team environment, while working under a hybrid model with access to hubs and parking facilities. IT equipment will be provided.
Skills
- Experience in adult social work (2+ years)
- Knowledge of Care Act and Mental Health Act 1983
- AMHP qualification (preferred)
- Strong assessment and investigative skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-demand environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
