Who You Are
You are a qualified and experienced Social Worker passionate about safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people. You possess a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in statutory Children’s Social Care services and hold a degree in social work or equivalent with current registration with the Social Work England Council (SWECC). You are committed to your professional development and dedicated to equality and diversity in practice.
What the Job Involves
This role involves contributing to an effective Children's Social Care Service within Sefton Council's People Directorate. You'll manage a complex and varied caseload, making critical decisions reflecting professional judgment and evidence-based practice. Your responsibilities include undertaking assessments, preparing court reports, working with children and families directly, and collaborating across multi-agency teams. You will be instrumental in achieving best outcomes for children at risk, in need, and/or looked after while ensuring compliance with all legal, policy, and procedural guidelines.
