Who You Are
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker who has at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in statutory Children’s Social Care service. You should demonstrate a commitment to professional development, have a deep knowledge of legislative frameworks concerning children's welfare, and an ability to manage complex caseloads efficiently. You must be registered with SWECC and ready to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams to provide supportive services to children at risk, in need, or in care.
What the Job Involves
As a Social Worker in Sefton's Children’s Social Care, you'll contribute to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people. Responsibilities include managing a varied caseload, preparing written statements for court, identifying levels of risk, conducting direct work with children and families, and participating in multi-disciplinary forums. You will model inclusive practice, support supervision of social work students, and ensure all reports and case data are accurately maintained and confidential.
