You are an experienced Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent, registered with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC). You have a solid foundation of practice in social work, committed to ongoing professional development, and experienced in working with carers and vulnerable populations. You are adaptable, proactive, and capable of working independently within multi-agency settings while maintaining a focus on safeguarding and promoting well-being.
What the Job Involves
As an Experienced Social Worker, you will manage a caseload and conduct various community care and safeguarding assessments for complex cases. Your role involves balancing the risks with the rights and choices of individuals, providing expert guidance, and collaborating with colleagues and external agencies. You will perform statutory duties, offer oversight on cases, and maintain records to support evidence in legal proceedings as necessary. You will recruit and train prospective carers and adopters, supervise less experienced staff, and contribute to strategic social work initiatives within the council.
