We are seeking an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join our Permanence Service. You should have a proven track record in managing teams within the realm of Permanence, particularly involving Looked After Children and Children in our Care. A confident understanding and application of legal proceedings and frameworks is essential. You should possess expertise in analyzing and minimizing risk, and adeptly supporting positive long-term changes for young people. A strong focus on pathway planning and a high-performance culture is crucial.
What the Job Involves
This role involves supporting the Team Manager and social work teams by fostering consistent good practices. You will be actively involved in decision-making, chairing meetings, and collaborating with partners/multi-agencies such as the Police, Health, and Education sectors. Your role will be to advocate for young people to secure necessary services. As part of the job, you will also oversee recruitment, induction, training, and the supervision of team members, while championing professional career development. This is a non-case holding role with a focus on team leadership and mentorship.
