What the Job Involves

As the Senior Lawyer for Civil, you will provide high-quality legal advice and support to the Council and external clients, handling extensive and complex caseloads. You will prepare legal documents, offer solutions to complex policy issues, attend court hearings, and supervise junior staff. Your role involves promoting a 'one organisation' approach, developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting equality and diversity initiatives, and ensuring compliance with council policies. You will also assist in budgeting, resource management, and performance monitoring while furthering personal and team development plans.
