Who You Are
You are an experienced Children's Social Worker with over 3 years of permanent social work statutory experience. You possess a strong commitment to improving the lives of children and young people. You are capable of driving and have access to a vehicle, ready to work on-site 3 days a week in Liverpool, with 2 days of homeworking. You are not currently leaving a permanent social work role in the North West region and are excited to join Liverpool Children's Services, contributing to a team that values collaborative practice improvement.
What the Job Involves
As an Advanced Practitioner in our Permanence Team, you will play a vital role in supporting children in care and looked after children. You will engage directly with children and young people, plan care and placements, and minimize risk with a structured and organized approach. You are responsible for ensuring stable placements that meet individual needs and contribute to achieving long-term improved outcomes. You must have a solid understanding of corporate parenting and children looked after legislation and processes.
Skills
- 3+ years of statutory social work experience
- Expertise in working with children in care and looked after children
- Strong engagement and direct working skills with children and young people
- Methodical and organized approach to care and placement planning
- Understanding of corporate parenting legislation and processes
- Ability to ensure stable, needs-appropriate placements
- Driver with access to a vehicle
