Role

Who You Are

You are an experienced Deputy Team Manager with a proven track record in the Permanence Service, specifically in areas related to Looked After Children or Children in Our Care. You have confidence in applying legal proceedings and frameworks and possess a robust understanding of the entire journey young people undergo. Your expertise includes analyzing and minimizing risk, supporting long-term positive changes, and implementing clear pathway planning. You thrive in high-performance cultures, ensuring consistent good practice and actively supporting decision-making processes. Your role requires strong partnership skills with multi-agency collaboration, particularly with Police, Health, and Education sectors, to advocate the best interests of young people.

What the Job Involves

This role involves supporting the Team Manager and the social work team within the Permanence Service by maintaining a high-performance culture. Your responsibilities include actively participating in decision-making, chairing meetings, supporting recruitment, induction, training, and the effective supervision of team members. Additionally, you will champion professional career development and serve as a Practice Educator. This role does not carry case-holding responsibilities and requires at least three days in the office per week on a full-time basis.
