What the job involves

The role involves developing, implementing, managing, and overseeing the S106 / CIL payment monitoring system. You will lead the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, produce reports, and coordinate proposals for S106 funding to present to the S106 Sub-Committee. As the main professional expert, you'll be responsible for ensuring the Council's S106 / CIL system effectively processes, collects, and distributes funds. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring payment triggers, and handling invoicing and debt recovery. Additionally, you'll lead the S106 Officer Working Group and contribute to reviewing S106 and local plan viability assessments. Should CIL be introduced, you'll manage its implementation alongside current S106 responsibilities.
