Who You Are

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our Parks team. You should have a good work ethic, be courteous and polite, and possess the ability to work in all weather conditions. You should be able to work independently or as part of a team, and effectively interact with the general public.

What the Job Involves

As part of the Parks team, you will be responsible for maintaining over 100 parks and open spaces, including playgrounds, countryside areas, and sports pitches. Your main tasks will include grounds maintenance, operating horticultural machinery, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. A short interview and induction will precede your start date, following which you will begin your placement.

Skills

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance - Essential
• Basic horticultural machinery knowledge - Essential
• Understanding of Health & Safety - Essential
• Ability to take and understand clear instructions - Essential
• Ability to work in all weather conditions - Essential
• Ability to complete physical tasks unsupervised - Essential
• Ability to work within a team or as a lone worker - Essential
• Minimum plant knowledge - Desirable
