Who You Are

You are an experienced social worker looking for a challenging opportunity within Swindon Borough Council's Family Safeguarding Service. You have a proven track record in working within dynamic teams (PODs) to provide optimal management, oversight, and support. You thrive in environments where comprehensive assessments and court engagements are required to secure the welfare and permanency plans for children.

What the Job Involves

As an Experienced Social Worker, you will be part of a dedicated pod consisting of 5 Social Workers and 1 Manager. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, both parenting and comprehensive, to formulate outcome-focused care plans in collaboration with children and their families. You will engage in care proceedings, manage both private and public court processes, and work efficiently within court timelines to achieve permanency plans, including adoption. You will be required to navigate complex risk scenarios and document evidence-based analysis of your interventions.
