Who You Are
You are a fully qualified, experienced Social Worker committed to safeguarding and meeting the needs of adults referred to Adult Social Care. You possess a thorough understanding of relevant legislation such as the Care Act 2014, and possess the capability to manage a caseload of increasing complexity. You are dedicated to continuous professional development and eager to undertake the Best Interest Assessor (BIA) qualification. You are flexible in your working arrangements and willing to support the care and welfare of children and young people within the Council's remit.
What the Job Involves
The role involves ensuring adults' needs are assessed, met, and safeguarded in line with statutory requirements and local policies. You will manage a diverse and challenging caseload independently, applying your post-ASYE knowledge to handle complex cases and make informed decisions. The job includes leading multidisciplinary meetings, supporting less experienced staff, undertaking safeguarding inquiries, and ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks. Additionally, you will contribute to team well-being, maintain accurate records, and engage with all relevant agencies, adults, and their families to promote welfare and safeguarding.
