You are passionate about relationship-based social work and take pride in your profession. As a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, you have substantial experience working with children and families. You are innovative and creative, skilled in building relationships to make a difference in their lives. Reflective and open to thinking creatively, you are dedicated to improving the lives of people around you.

What the job involves

This role involves working with children and families to complete the initial Child and Family Assessments following referrals at the Family Front Door. You'll work within a well-established Family Safeguarding model, collaborating with adult-focused practitioners in areas such as substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health. Your responsibilities include undertaking direct work with children and young people, engaging with parents and their wider family networks, and utilizing Family Group Conferencing to support them. You'll be part of a supportive team with regular and reflective supervision, using motivational interviewing to aid families in identifying opportunities for change. The role is based in Bridgwater, with flexible working options and requires travel.

Skills
