What the Job Involves
As a social worker in Sutton’s Children’s First Contact Service, you will be at the forefront of providing a single point of contact for early help and children’s social care services. Your key responsibilities will include processing referrals, ensuring they are directed along the appropriate pathways based on the Pan London threshold matrix, and maintaining a consistent and efficient response to the needs of children. You may be required to travel outside of the borough to offer support to young people or vulnerable adults.
Skills
- Strong understanding of social care and child protection
- Ability to process and coordinate referrals efficiently
- Excellent communication skills with practitioners and the public
- Knowledge of the Pan London threshold matrix
- Ability to travel when necessary
