Who You Are

You are a passionate and qualified social worker with experience handling complex and statutory children's cases, especially in areas such as child protection, care proceedings, and cases involving looked after children. You are committed to promoting positive change in children's and families' lives, utilizing a sound understanding of social work methods, models, and tools. Your professional judgment is informed by a strong knowledge of the relevant legal and policy frameworks, and you are adept at working collaboratively with allied health and social care practitioners.

What the job involves

As a Senior Social Worker in the Child Assessment Team, you will manage a complex and challenging caseload requiring careful assessment, care planning, and the formulation of recommendations for support plans. You will collaborate with multi-agency partners in order to safeguard children and promote inter-agency working arrangements. This role requires you to undertake comprehensive assessments, prepare reports for court, and develop, implement, and review casework plans in compliance with legislation and best practice. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and participating in training and development activities.
