Who You Are
We are looking for a Personal Advisor for our Leaving Care Team, based at Parklands, Speke. You should have at least a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent with strong experience in working with vulnerable children and young people in or leaving the care system. You should have a deep understanding of relevant children's legislation, policies, procedures, and financial and benefit entitlements for care leavers. You must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to motivate young people and assist them in realizing their potential.
What the Job Involves
As a Personal Advisor, you will work with young people aged 16+ from diverse backgrounds. You will creatively source support in terms of suitable accommodation, education, and employment opportunities and provide them with the emotional, social, and practical skills needed for independent living. You will work closely with our Permanence Service to offer tailored support and guidance on transition planning for care leavers. This role involves local travel around Liverpool to meet with young people.
