What the job involves
This role involves managing challenging cases and improving outcomes for children and young people. Tasks include assessing and managing high-risk situations, liaising with professionals, mentoring student social workers, and monitoring children on Child Protection or Children in Need plans. You will also undertake assessments, create care plans, manage investigations and referrals, and produce high-standard reports and legal documents. Developing evidence-based, child-centered plans, overcoming resistance to social care involvement, and ensuring compliance with service practice standards are key responsibilities.
