Who You Are
An experienced social worker, registered with Social Work England, possessing substantial post-qualification experience in a statutory health or social care setting. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly regarding safeguarding and mental capacity. Capable of effective communication with diverse individuals and professionals, and committed to anti-discriminatory practice and equal opportunities.
What the Job Involves
Lead operational social work practice focused on safeguarding and adult protection, managing high-risk cases, and supporting practitioners in developing their skills. Ensure person-centred care and support plans, and engage in risk management to promote independence. Work closely with Safeguarding Officers, develop best practices, and chair high-level adult protection meetings. Provide team leadership and foster multi-agency collaborations. Facilitate continuous improvement and compliance with legal and organisational standards, responding to Councillors' queries and participating in Committees as needed.
