Who You Are
The ideal candidate is an experienced Deputy Team Manager with a strong background in Safeguarding and Child Protection. You should have experience as an Advanced Practitioner or Deputy Team Manager and be skilled in supervising staff. A robust understanding of legal proceedings and frameworks, as well as experience in risk analysis and pathway planning for young people, is essential.
What the job involves
This non-caseholding role involves supporting the Team Manager and a social work team of 8-10 social workers. You will foster a high-performance culture, support decision making, chair meetings, and collaborate with multi-agency partners to advocate for young people. Responsibilities also include supporting recruitment, induction, training, and supervision of team members, along with championing their professional career development. Additionally, you will serve as a Practice Educator.
