Who You Are You are a qualified Social Worker with a Dip SW, BA, or MA in Social Work, or an equivalent qualification. You are registered or due to be registered with Social Work England. You have applied knowledge of community care legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005. You possess experience in completing assessments, support plans, and care management services. You are skilled in researching guidance and procedures, demonstrate a strengths-based assessment approach, and are proficient in managing fluctuating caseloads.
What the Job Involves The role involves contributing to the operational delivery of an effective Adult Social Care Service. Responsibilities include holding and managing a complex caseload, preparing written reports, undertaking risk management, and leading safeguarding enquiries. You will participate in multi-disciplinary forums, undertake direct work with service users, and manage financial resources to meet assessed needs. You will also be responsible for obtaining professional supervision, contributing to team development, and adhering to the Council’s commitment to equal opportunities and non-discriminatory practices.
