Who You Are
The role is suited for someone with a Dip SW, BA or MA in Social Work or equivalent, registered with Social Work England or in the process of registration. You should possess applied knowledge of Community Care Legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and other relevant frameworks. Experience in completing assessments, support plans, and managing a varied caseload is essential. Experience in a multi-cultural environment and financial awareness is desirable.
What the job involves
The Social Worker contributes to the operational delivery of Adult Social Care Service. Key responsibilities include managing a complex caseload, safeguarding, support planning, and promoting wellbeing. You will be responsible for individual assessments and co-designing support plans, ensuring regular monitoring and reviews. Other duties involve direct work with service users, risk management, report preparation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The role also involves supervision and development of self and others, ensuring up-to-date and accurate client information handling per legal standards. As part of the role, you’ll be required to prepare reports, participate in multi-disciplinary forums, and undertake assessments related to capacity and safeguarding.
