Who You Are
An experienced social worker with a Social Work qualification, such as a Degree in Social Work or DipSW, registered with Social Care England. You possess expertise in children’s social care, and have substantial experience working with children, young people, and their families. You demonstrate strong communication skills, have a commitment to equality and diversity, and are aware of the current practice issues and challenges facing children’s social care.
What the Job Involves
This role involves ensuring compliance with legal, organisational, and multi-agency requirements while carrying a caseload. You will work independently and collaboratively on behalf of children, young people, and families to meet their social care needs, improve wellbeing, and promote independence. Key responsibilities include undertaking statutory safeguarding duties, liaising with internal and external partners, preparing reports, giving evidence in court, and providing professional assessments and support. You are also expected to contribute to multi-agency teams, develop expertise in specific areas, and oversee case management within the team.
