Who You Are
You are an experienced social work professional with substantial experience in a children and families fieldwork setting, possessing a professional social work qualification (Dip.SW/CQSW/CSS) and current GSCC registration. A management qualification or equivalent is desirable. You are committed to promoting equal opportunities, working within and developing teams, and partnering with service users and allied professionals.
What the Job Involves
As a Team Manager, you will manage, develop, and lead a Social Work Team to deliver high-quality services for children, young people, and their families, achieving improved outcomes and value for money. You will allocate and supervise staff work, ensure compliance with statutory obligations, manage resources efficiently, and involve service users and carers in care planning. Additionally, you will handle staff supervision, budget control, and contribute to strategic policy development while deputizing for the Service Manager as needed.

- In-depth knowledge of The Children Act 1989 and related regulations
- Understanding of current child care services initiatives
- Proficiency in managing social work teams and resources
- Strong decision-making and leadership abilities
- Ability to utilize information technology effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Validated ability to work flexible hours
- Possession of a full driving license
