What the Job Involves
The role involves directing, leading, and managing the delivery of strategic, high-quality Revenues and Benefits services at Wirral Council. You will oversee strategy and policy development, maintain strong relationships with elected members and stakeholders, and ensure alignment with the corporate plan. The role includes managing large budgets, supporting ERP system implementation, driving a digital-first approach, and maximizing government subsidies. You will contribute to corporate performance evaluation, enhance customer experience, and serve as support to Councillors. Additionally, fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture is essential.
