As a Personal Advisor within the Young People & Families department at Sefton Council, you are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people who are transitioning from or have left care. You are empathetic, solution-focused, and committed to professional development. You have a strong understanding of children’s development, family dynamics, and the challenges faced by care leavers.
What the job involves
In this role, you will provide support and advice to care leavers, help them with financial capability, accommodation options, education, and access to healthcare. Your duties include participating in assessments and reviews of Pathway Plans, facilitating family contact, coordinating services, and monitoring progress. You will work collaboratively across various teams and agencies, attend meetings, and ensure data is accurately maintained. Continuous learning and development are key aspects of this position.
