You are a qualified and experienced Social Worker looking to contribute to the Children’s Social Care Service at Sefton Council. You are committed to continuous professional development, capable of managing a complex caseload, and able to model critical reflection and evidence-based decision-making.
What the Job Involves
As a Social Worker in the People Directorate of Sefton Council's Children’s Social Care, you will manage a varied caseload ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation. You will prepare written statements for court hearings, assess levels of risk, deliver support services for children in need, and effectively communicate in complex situations. You will work cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams, undertake direct work with children and families, and contribute to the professional development of the team. Participation in performance reviews and taking responsibility for data entry and client information management are also key duties.
