Who You Are

Sefton’s Youth Justice Service is seeking an experienced and skilled Operational Manager to provide leadership and oversight for a six-month period, with potential for extension. You should have a strong background in delivering high-quality services within the youth justice system, including a relevant professional qualification and leadership experience. You should possess up-to-date knowledge of the youth justice environment and will work as part of a management team, collaborating with partner agencies and Children Social Care colleagues. What the Job Involves

This role involves supporting the Service Manager in delivering high-quality and effective services to children, young people, and their families. You will manage a multi-agency team to deliver robust managerial support and oversight, develop relationships with partners, and ensure the integration of services. You will be responsible for implementing the Service Development Plan, managing budgets, and contributing to external funding bids. The role requires ensuring that services meet National Key Performance Indicators and integrating with wider Children’s Services for Quality Assurance and Service Improvement activities. Additional responsibilities include managing resources, facilitating service offers, and leading various funded projects and initiatives within the Youth Justice Service.
